Frequently asked questions about LifeCube

Information directly from LifeCube about our models, daily operation, installation and after-sales support.

Which LifeCube models are available?

LC 1 is our compact single-chamber model. LC 1+ and LC 2 have a pre-chamber and a main chamber. The dual-chamber layout supports an organised session flow for businesses planning frequent use. Our team helps you select the LifeCube model suited to your premises and operating plan.

How is a LifeCube chamber cooled?

LifeCube uses an electric refrigeration system. Operation does not require deliveries of liquid nitrogen or a nitrogen storage tank. The Cold Booster draws in the cold cabin air and directs it onto the body through 11 individually controllable fans, making the perceived cold noticeably more intense. The fans can be switched by zone – for example only legs, back, lower back or arms – or all together. Temperature and operating status are displayed on the control screen.

Cabin cool-down time: how long does the first cool-down take?

From start-up to target temperature, our cabins need:

  • LC 1: approx. 1–2 hours
  • LC 1+: approx. 2 hours
  • LC 2: approx. 3 hours

After that the cabin is ready for use and holds the temperature for consecutive sessions. The exact time depends on the starting temperature, the surroundings and the configuration. At commissioning, our team explains the operating programme and the readiness indicator.

Capacity: how many treatments per day are possible?
  • LC 1: up to approx. 50 treatments per day
  • LC 1+: up to approx. 75 treatments per day
  • LC 2: up to approx. 75 treatments per day

These figures apply to 24-hour operation under suitable conditions. Thanks to the antechamber, LC 1+ and LC 2 handle significantly more treatments. As long as the target temperature is held, sessions can run back to back; door-opening time, temperature and humidity affect capacity. Daily drying is part of the operating plan.

What space does a LifeCube installation need?

The room must have a clear height of at least 225 cm. LC 1+ and LC 2 cabins have a footprint of 220 × 110 cm, with an additional 80 cm of clearance for the door to open. Space is also planned for the refrigeration unit, chiller and service access. The cabin room is prepared for a maximum of 20 °C (68 °F) and 30% relative humidity. Our team uses your floor plan to plan the layout and site preparation with you.

What utility connections are required?

The standard installation provides 400 V / 32 A for the refrigeration unit and a separate 400 V / 16 A supply for the chiller. The standard distance from cabin to refrigeration unit is up to 5 m; the water line from refrigeration unit to chiller can be up to 50 m. A water circuit with an outdoor chiller is recommended. Your qualified contractors prepare electricity, water and room conditioning according to the LifeCube installation plan. Local supply compatibility is addressed in that plan.

What affects electricity consumption?

Consumption varies during initial cooling, temperature maintenance, sessions and drying. Ambient and water temperatures, humidity and door use also affect it. Power is expressed in kW and energy consumed in kWh. Our team explains the electrical requirements of your selected LifeCube system for your operating plan when preparing your quotation.

Does LifeCube have automatic drying?

Yes. The automatic heating and drying programme removes ice and moisture after use. Drying is included in the daily operating plan on days when the chamber is used. During operator training, our team explains the programme and the drying time applicable to your model.

Can the chamber operate without internet?

Yes, LifeCube can operate without an internet connection. Internet is required for remote assistance from our technical team. A network connection with DHCP is prepared at the site for this purpose. Remote support is arranged with our team when assistance is needed.

What equipment is available inside the cabin?

LifeCube offers a music system and Cold Booster. With a suitable equipment configuration, smartwatch integration can display pulse and temperature information. Standard equipment, compatible devices and additional options for your model are explained in your quotation.

How long do delivery and installation take?

Our standard delivery plan is within 4 weeks of ordering. At a prepared site, installation generally takes 1–3 days. LifeCube organises transport, assembly and commissioning. The specific schedule is agreed in your quotation according to the destination, equipment and readiness of the site.

How are training, maintenance and warranty provided?

The LifeCube team trains the operators and provides annual maintenance. In countries with a distributor, its authorised technical team may carry out the work. Our current products come with a 2-year warranty and a commitment to spare-parts supply for 10 years. Warranty and service scope are set out in the quotation. Spare-parts availability does not mean that parts are supplied free of charge.

How do I request a quotation or leasing information?

We provide prices in an individual quotation based on the model and project scope. Leasing is also available on request, with availability and conditions explained for your project. Your name, company, country, city, installation address and floor level help us prepare the quotation. You can also share an existing room floor plan. A finished plan is not required for an initial conversation.
