LifeCube vs nitrogen: a direct comparison

⚡Electric cryo chamber LifeCube
⚗Nitrogen cryo chambers
Cold generated by an electric aggregate – operated with cooled ambient air
❄
Cold generated by liquid nitrogen
High safety – no danger of escaping nitrogen gas
❄
Safety risk: leaked nitrogen can be inhaled unnoticed – danger of suffocation and frostbite
Started only once a day – runs all day
❄
Must be started up for every treatment – costs time
Additional space: only the aggregate
❄
Additional space: storage of nitrogen tanks – exchanging tanks costs time and energy
Whole-body application including the head
❄
Head sticks out of the cabin – partial-body application only
Several people at the same time
❄
Only one person at a time
No special insurance needed – no hidden costs
❄
High liability insurance costs when working with nitrogen

Electric cooling without liquid nitrogen deliveries

An electric refrigeration system cools the chamber. You do not need to order, store or refill liquid nitrogen for operation. Our team plans the cabin, refrigeration unit and chiller for your location. The installation plan sets out the required connections.

LC 1, LC 1+ and LC 2

LC 1 is our compact single-chamber model. LC 1+ and LC 2 contain a pre-chamber and a main chamber. The dual-chamber layout supports an organised session flow with frequent use. We plan the layout, access and cooling equipment around your premises. The room requires a clear height of at least 225 cm, with additional space planned for doors and service access.

Cold Booster and temperature display

The Cold Booster draws in the cold cabin air and directs it onto the body through 11 individually controllable fans, making the perceived cold noticeably more intense. The fans can be switched by zone – for example only legs, back, lower back or arms – or all together. This lowers the perceived temperature to as low as −150 °C. You can follow temperature and operating status on the control screen. During initial cooling, our cabins reach their target temperature in approximately 1–2 hours (LC 1), 2 hours (LC 1+) or 3 hours (LC 2, main chamber −110 °C / −166 °F), depending on starting temperature, environment and configuration.

Operating programme and automatic drying

Consecutive sessions are possible when the required temperature is maintained. Door openings and humidity also affect when the next session can start. On days of use, automatic drying is part of the daily operating plan. The heating and drying programme removes ice and moisture. During training, our team explains the procedures for your model.

Music and equipment options

LifeCube offers a music system inside the cabin. With a suitable configuration, smartwatch integration can display pulse and temperature information. Your quotation explains compatible devices, standard equipment and optional features.

Independent operation and fast remote maintenance

Your LifeCube runs completely independently – even without an internet connection. If internet is available on site, our technical team can access the system remotely: questions are resolved quickly and many issues are fixed without a technician visit. LifeCube handles installation, commissioning and operator training – in countries with a distributor, its authorised technical team can also do this. Annual maintenance keeps your cabin running reliably.

Frequently asked questions

Does LifeCube need liquid nitrogen?

No. LifeCube uses an electric refrigeration system. Operation does not require liquid nitrogen deliveries or a nitrogen tank.

What does Cold Booster do?

The Cold Booster draws in the cold cabin air and directs it onto the body through 11 individually controllable fans, making the perceived cold noticeably more intense. The fans can be switched by zone – for example only legs, back, lower back or arms – or all together. This lowers the perceived temperature to as low as −150 °C.

Is there an automatic drying programme?

Yes. The heating and drying programme removes ice and moisture after use. Drying is planned daily on days of use and explained during operator training.

Does operation always require internet?

No. The LifeCube also works without internet. With internet access on site, our technical team can help quickly via remote maintenance.

Who can answer technical questions about my premises?

Our LifeCube technical team can discuss your site and its requirements. A floor plan, floor level and access details help with planning. You can reach us through the enquiry form or by telephone.
